Well look-y here, it’s a full summer’s worth of (mostly outdoor) shows! It certainly feels like this summer is going to be one to remember, and to kick things off we’re happy to announce our summer festival line-up for 2022.
Catch us all across Ontario this summer performing at some highly anticipated festivals and shows – and more to come! So tell your friends and plan your summer accordingly.
We hope to see you at one (or five, or twelve) of the shows. For all the dates and ticket info head to our SHOWS page.
We’re happy to announce we’ll be donating $1 from every ticket sold on our upcoming Big Shiny Dwayne tour to The Kawenni:io/Gaweni:yo Elementary and Secondary School to raise funds for the new school they are building. Read on for more info of the Kawenni:io/Gaweni:yo Elementary and Secondary School (KGPS)
The Kawenni:io/Gaweni:yo Elementary and Secondary School is a Gayoghno (Cayuga) and Kanienkehaka (Mohawk) language immersion school located on the Six Nations of the Grand River Territory in Southern Ontario.
Their goal is to provide a culturally-based education that promotes understanding and pride in being Rotinonhsion:ni/Hodinohso:ni while preparing students to deal successfully with the complexities of contemporary society.
You Oughta Know! We’re back and we’re bringing the 90s with us across Ontario this Spring.
Since this current decade hasn’t exactly gone as planned, it makes perfect sense to shake it off and jump back to a decade where our biggest problems were having to print off our Mapquest directions. Come celebrate the era when the internet made strange noises and we weren’t all checking our phone every 15 seconds.
With the recent news, we have decided to move our New Year’s Eve show back online. We’re excited that we’ll be live streaming from the band’s studio.
Last year’s NYE livestream was a special moment for us as it allowed us to connect with so many people regardless of geography.
It will be free to tune in to make it as accessible as possible. We’ll be accepting donations with 50% of net proceeds supporting a worthy cause: the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). If you’re eager to donate early, you can do so now HERE.
If you have a ticket to HISTORY, you will be receiving a full refund to your payment card in the coming weeks.
We encourage you to join us starting at 10 pm EST on December 31 – you can tune in right here at dwaynegretzkyband.com.
Something about “Dwayne Gretzky at Massey Hall” sounds completely surreal. But, here we are :) :)
We’ve been extremely fortunate as a band, and every milestone has meant something to us, from the first time a line formed outside the Dakota Tavern over 10 years ago, to being invited to perform at Toronto’s many classic clubs and venues since then. Not to mention festivals, weddings, and countless other stages that we’ve been invited onto over the years. But when it comes to stages to be invited to play music on, this one just…. sits differently.
Massey Hall has its own place in our hearts. As passionate music fans ourselves, stepping into the same space as our heroes will be an incredible feeling. Many songs from our catalogue have a history in that very building, which is not lost on us.
We’re thrilled to be able to invite our friends and fans to participate in this apex moment for us as a band who never imagined could get to this point.
It’s a true honour to be invited onto this stage and we plan to make the most of it. We hope you’ll plan to join us at Massey Hall on October 14, 2022.
